Teenage Kaduna State Boy Reveals How His Family Feeds on Grasses Due To Hardship!

The economic situation in the country has continued to worsen and has actually plunged many people into dire life’s condition.

Well, a heartbreaking video surfaced online recently, in which a teenage boy from Kaduna State revealed how his family has resorted to grasses since they cannot afford regular food any longer.

According to Sahara Reporters, the spoke who spoke in Hausa language is estimated to be between the age of 12-16, was heading home after gathering the grasses which have become a food for the family.

He was intercepted by unidentified individual, who had a brief conversation with the boy, during which he revealed the pathetic economic situation of their family.

Reportedly from Barnawa community in Kaduna State, the boy explained to his interviewer in Hausa language, saying, “We prepare the grass with Maggi (seasoning cube) and groundnut cake (known as Kulikuli). It can be eaten alone or with these ingredients”.

He equally made it clear that their choice of grasses as food is as a result of his family inability to afford regular food items like rice, and others. He equally pleaded with the government to quickly come to their help as things are really hard for many Nigerians. The man questioning him gave him an undisclosed amount of money in the end, and the boy then rode off with his bicycle.

This once again highlights the pathetic economic hardship facing millions of people in the country, with many people unable to feed well, clothe well, have access to good healthcare and education.

And it is in the face of all these that they have been call for a nationwide protest slated for August 1, 2024. But the government at all level have been fighting so hard to disrupt the planned protest, including threats and arrests by various security agents in the country.
