Inspection Tour As Maintenance and Repair works to commence on Ngwo portions of Enugu Onitsha old Road
Enugu West Project Monitoring team under the office of the Senate Minority Whip of the 10th National Assembly, led by Hon Obiora Onyia TEGA, the SPA on Special Duties to the Senator Osita Ngwu, on Saturday, July 13, 2014, embarked on inspection tour of an ongoing community road projects at Ngwo Asaa ward, in Udi LGA, Enugu West district of Enugu State.
The team also marked some bad portions, potholes and road-erosion prone spots on Ngwo portions of old Enugu-Onitsha express, for maintenance and repairs
Hon Onyia enthused that the road construction in the area when completed, will improve on connectivity within the community, stimulate activities in grassroots internally, and it will provide access to the mini markets within the community and prevent the community against floods and erosion.
He appealed to the community to avoid dumping wastes in drainages but assist in evacuating blockages off the drainages and keep them free for easy water flow along the drainages.
He assured people of Sen. Ngwu’s commitment to continue to serve them with the fear of God and humility.
Hon Onyia and his team appreciated what they saw on ground, the level of work done by the contractor on the community roads.
Some constituents of the community who spoke to the media man, could not hide their emotional feelings as they commended the Lawmaker for the project and his developmental strides, thanked him for giving them the opportunity to partake in the dividends of democracy.
They threw their weight behind the workaholic Senator, prayed and assured him of their 100 percent support in his re-election to return to the red chamber come 2027.
