Do you know that five African players are among the Bayer Leverkusen players who just won the Bundesliga this Sunday evening?
It was such a great and historic day at the BayArena stadium, the home ground of Bayer Leverkusen, as the club won their first ever German Bundesliga trophy in 120 years. And behold, it was such a crazy scene at the stadium as over joyous fans trooped into the field as they couldn’t contain their joy and happiness.
Aside that, the club has equally maintained unbeaten run from the start of the season till there were crowned Champions this evening after thrashing Werder Bremen 5-0. So far, with five more games to go, Bayer Leverkusen played 29 games, won 25, drew 4, scored 74 goals, conceded 19 goals and ZERO defeat(s).
Surprisingly, five African players are part of this history that unraveled itself at BayArena. They include Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella, both from Nigeria. Others include Edmond Tapsoba from Burkina Faso, Odilon Kossounou from Ivory Coast (Côte d’Ivoire), and Amine Adli Morocco.
