Controversial Nigerian musician and Record Label boss, Naira Marley has continued to be in the bad books of Nigerians since the shocking death of talented musician, Mohbad, who died on September 12, 2023, in a very controversial and complicated manner.
And in the aftermath of the stories that have trailed the death of Mohbad, in which Naira Marley and his ally and socialite, Sam Larry have been strongly fingered in the unfortunate incident. Even though both of them have come out to distance themselves from the demise of Mohbad, many people are still finding it very difficult to let them off the hook.
Meanwhile, one of those who have the duo in their bad books are Twitter users, Chemical Brother (@chemicalbrodar) and @Kingadeall1, of which both, just like many social media users, have called for total boycott of Naira Marley songs. Further, the latter also alleged that since Naira Marley returned to the country after many years in the United Kingdom, UK, that he has impacted the lives of Nigerian Youths in negative ways.
“Nigerian music is too good. You can do without Naira Marley’s music I promise,” @chemicalbrodar tweeted.
In response, @Kingadeall1 wrote, “I never for once search his music unless reshuffled. Ever since he came back from UK, Nigerian youths are not the same again. A lot of things are happening in Lagos Island…”
This is not the first time Naira Marley has faced such media attacks/criticism, because few years back, when he began the Marlians social movement, which swept across the country, mostly in the southern part of the country, he was equally subjected to similar treatment. Then, a lot of the youths were caught in the web of many social vices and depraved lifestyle.
