Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has educated people on the essence of the creation and existence of those referred to as ‘ogbanje‘.
Recall that ogbanje people, mostly amongst women in this part of the world are often seen as those with spiritual problems, and often avoided as well. They are subjected to some form of ostracization.
But Yul Edochie is not happy with that sort of treatment meted out to the ogbanje people. He made it clear that ogbanje people are spiritually gifted by God, which is aimed at helping humanity.
“Many people we call ‘Ogbanje’ are people who are spiritually gifted. And the essence of having such spiritual gift is to use it to help humanity“.
Then he blamed the confusion on religious fanaticism, ignorance and public opinions on why most ogbanje people run away from their callings. And in the end, they mess up their lives as a result.
“But because of ignorance, religion & the fear of what people will say, they keep trying to run away from who they are and by doing so their lives become messed up“.
Then he urged people who are ogbanje to discover their true self, embrace it and utilize their God given power.
“Dig deep, find your true self and embrace it and you’ll realize the essence of your existence and live a fulfilled life“.
