After conquering the French League while playing for Lille, then conquered the Italian league with Napoli, Victor Osimhen is now ready to conquer the Turkish league with his great exploits at Galatasaray.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria hitman announced his presence in the Turkish top flight league with a brace against Kasimpasa on Saturday. His first goal in the league came in the 20th minute while the second came in the 28th minute.
Already, he has registered three (3) assists in his opening three (3) games for his new club were he’s on a season long loan.
During the celebration of the first and debut goal in the league, he celebrated it like it was a winning goal in a World Cup final, holding up a Galatasaray Jersey with the inscription, “Finally”.
Then later, his teammate Mauro Icardi made it three, but unfortunately the game ended 3-3 as the visitors came into the second half with a renewed energy and ensured they got a share of the available points.
Prior to joining Galatasaray, he already scored scored 76 goals in 133 appearances for the Italian side.
While Osimhen has been linked with several Top European clubs in the upcoming January transfer window, however the Galatasaray vice president İbrahim Hatipoğlu has made it clear that Osimhen is not going anywhere till the end of the season.
In the end of the 2024/2025 league season, he will return to Napoli were he still has a contract till June 2027. But he has a release clause of about €75 million.
