Many Nigerians have in recent years ran away from the country for one reason or the other, and popular Nigerian musician, Bankole Wellington, A.K.A Banky W has finally joined the growing list of Nigerians leaving the country in droves.
Few days he announced via his verified Instagram account that he has decided to relocate to the United States of America with his wife and their son.
According to him, this is a new chapter in his life and that of his family. During which, he will be pursuing his education while in the country, precisely in pursuit of his Master’s degree at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, USA.
He shared a heart melting photo of himself and his wife, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, hugging each other tightly while they equally shared a heart, with their little cute son watching his parents with so much happiness, at the airport.
He went on to caption the post, “for family. For finding purpose. For the next year of earning a Master’s degree in Policy Management at Georgetown University in Washington DC. Wish us well“.
Recall that Banky W was actually born in the USA, only returned to Nigeria few years ago to pursue his music career. After which he got married to his lovely wife, Adesua in 2017. Their beautiful marriage is already blessed with a son.
Prior before his relocation to abroad, Banky had twice contested to represent the people of Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in Lagos State in Lagos, at the Federal House of Representatives, but wasn’t successful at that.
He already reunited with his colleague in the music industry back then, ‘Mr. Eldee Da Don‘ who equally relocated to the United States of America with his family for about ten years ago.
