In the world we live today, many people are actually running away from anything that has to do with love; relationship and marriage, and most of them are not even ready to turn back already, of which one of them is 50 Cent.
This lifestyle is not gender based as it cuts across all genders, with people now prioritizing their mental health and career over whatever relationship can offer. As such, 50 Cent seems to be a brand ambassador of this very practice, or lifestyle, which ever you put it.
The veteran rapper is obviously enjoying his life of celibacy and harbours no regrets about it as well. In a recent interview tagged The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”, he opened up about his celibacy journey.
He was asked by the anchor if he had indeed adopted this new lifestyle…
In response, 50 Cent said; “Listen, when you calm down, you can focus. I’ve been good to me“.
Then the anchor Colbert, in his further curiosity, joking queried 50 on the motive behind his obvious pursuit of great wealth when he has no intention of giving love or relationship a chance.
Then 50 replied him, “It’s when things start getting complicated, things start getting confusing because people are coming for different reasons. If you go on a date and you have no interest in anything…I can see you now. Say, ‘Goddamn girl you fine but you ain’t got nothing going on“.
50 Cent has remained an ambassador of celibacy or the practice of abstinence, which earlier in the year he made it clear that he was actually going to walk that path throughout the year (2024). He made a post on his Instagram page to that regard, during which he said:
“My new idea is so big, I don’t have time to be distracted I’m practicing abstinence, I have been meditating and focusing on my goals. I hope this New Year helps you excel to the next level“.
Funny enough, or on the contrary, the energy and determination many of his fellow men put into their career, work and pursuits are basically spurred by their desires, most often, desperate desires, to impress the opposite gender with wealth, lavish spendings, luxurious lifestyle, the beautiful things of life and more.
Unfortunately, that’s not 50 Cent, as he’s his own motivation and push to reach the sky. He’s not doing all that serious hustle for the sake of any woman out there, but for 50 Cent and possibly, for 50 Cent alone.
Well, there’s a popular saying that another’s food is another’s poison. While 50 is on a totally different lane, some of us cannot walk that path, lol.
