Well, we have done a great research on some of the most in demand jobs in Europe, mostly for non graduates and the salaries attached to these jobs. Do you know that about 7,600,000 construction workers were recruited in Europe in 2022 alone?

1) TRUCK & LORRY DRIVERS:

This is one of the most in demand jobs in Europe, mostly as a result of the aging of the current drivers in most European countries, like in Spain were over 70% of both Truck and bus drivers being over 50 and 49 years respectively.

And due to the low entry barrier, it is one of the best and most suitable jobs in Europe for immigrants. An average salary of workers in this field range between £27,000-£30,000 per year or more.

2) FARM/FIELD WORK:

This yet another good job for foreigners who are willing to work in the farm. These include those who picks fruits and vegetables, farm diary workers and general farm workers.

Others include farm supervisor, farm foreman, farm engineers, livestock attendants, poultry farm workers, etc.

One good thing about this category of jobs is that it doesn’t require much, including experience and otherwise. And there are lots of incentives attached as well, like free accommodation, health insurance.

Average salary of a farm or field worker in Europe range between £21,000-£40,000 annually.

3) BRICKLAYERS:

This is another hot in demand jobs in Europe, and with a very exciting pay. Meanwhile, the salary for bricklayers varies according to country and some other factors like experience, location and the project involved.

On average, the daily working duration for bricklayers is eight (8) hours. Payment varies between £15-£30 per hour. While annual salary range between £40,000-£80,000, depending on the country. For instance, in Switzerland bricklayers are paid about (annually) £79,000, £55,000 in Canada, about £55,000 in USA, £57,000 in UK, etc.

4) FORKLIFT DRIVERS/OPERATORS:

This is another high in demand jobs in Europe, mostly for foreigners.

The salary is good enough because it doesn’t require much certification. Salary for forklift operators across varies Europe varies according to some factors like years of experience, additional skills, certification, education, etc.

Well, average salary of a forklift operator in Germany is between €25000-€47,000. Like in UK, average salary of a forklift operator is between £21,000-£31,000 annually.

5) CLEANER /HOUSEKEEPING JOB:

This is yet another high in demand jobs in Europe and equally comes with a reasonable payment.

The payment varies but are closely following each regardless of the city or country in Europe, but their salary is about £11:14 per hour. Though the average annual salary for cleaners and housekeepers range between £21,000-£30,000.

6) PLUMBING:

This is a very good job opportunity for many foreigners across Europe, and because of its importance, they are often high in demand. Their services are needed at all time, whether for new projects, maintenance, emergency work, etc.

Meanwhile, their salary varies according to several factors like experience, number of work duration, technicality of the job involved, work experience.

Salary for a plumber in UK for instance is about £50-£70 per hour, £250-£500 daily and about £50,000 annually. Though the salary is not fixed across all board and varies based on these factors mentioned above. For instance, some plumbers in UK charge between £100-£300 for emergency work and the complexity of the job involved.

7) ELECTRICIAN:

Regardless of the fact that we are talking about overseas jobs, there are several jobs that are hot in demand across the world, and electrical is one of them.

And just like plumbing, electricians have a wide range of job opportunities in their field, which makes the work one of the most hot in demand. And their salary is equally attractive in most European countries.

An average electrician in Europe makes between £42,000-£53,000 annually. Though in some parts it could be slightly lower or higher and still anchored on experience, complexity of jobs, work duration, technicality, timing of the job, etc.

8) CARPENTRY:

Though carpentry is considered a skilled job in some European countries, but yet one of the hot in demand jobs in Europe, with a good pay as well. The reason for the high demand of these category of job is simply because it is one of the main backbones of both the construction and woodworking industry.

Meanwhile, geographical location plays significant roles in their renumeration, but most countries in Europe and in the US pay well for the job.

Meanwhile, Australia stands out as one of the highest paying countries for carpentry jobs, with professional carpenters earning about £48,000 annually. Further research shows that Carpenters in Germany earn about £22,000 lesser than what their colleagues earn in Australia.

The growth of the construction industry in most European countries is a great added advantage to the rate of demands for carpentry jobs.

9) BEAUTY JOBS:

This includes hairdresser, hair stylist, makeup artist, barbers, braiders, etc.

Frankly, this is one of the most sort after jobs in most European countries, to the extent that in 2023 Australia announced shortage of hairdressers across the country, including offering Visas to foreigners to fill up the shortage.

The beauty industry is ever evolving with great and fresh ideas, hence why the beauty industry is constantly in need of skilled workers. Just in 2023, the UK beauty industry was valued at about 4.3 billion pounds, to tell you how big that industry is.

On average, hairdressers earn about £25,000 yearly in UK, about £13 per hour. Then for entry level, you are placed around £22,000 annually, while an experienced hairdresser earns about £40,000 per year. And same goes for some other fields in the beauty industry across Europe.

On the other hand, hair braiding is another aspect in the beauty industry that pays well, as a hair braiders earns $25-$45 per hour in several U.S cities/States.

10) WELDING:

Just like carpentry and other craftsmen jobs, in Germany there are basic requirements for you to be considered a full professional.

For instance, there’s a mandatory three years apprenticeship program for you to be certified a full fledged professional, but it is worth because in the end you are sure of securing a lucrative job in that field.

Aside the attractive incentives attached to the job, the salary is good as well. For instance, in Germany a welder earns around €24 (twenty four Euros) per hour, that’s between €36,000-€59,000 annually.

In UK, they earn an average of £20,000-£33,000 yearly, then in Canada a welder earns between $39,000-$60,000 annually, and while in the U.S welders earn between $34,000-$51,000.

Sometime in 2022, The European Welding Federation (EWF) reported a shortage of about three hundred thousand (300,000) welders across Europe. The shortage of skilled welders gives room for welders in Europe to be hot in demand and for a fair salary bargain.
